The Sickest Roast

The year was 2020. We had hopes and dreams. Trump was in his first term, Addison Rae was just a TikTok dancer, jeans were still skinny. And we had a fun little proactive idea for a small charity. The idea? Let’s roast diseases like they’re a washed out celebrity to raise money for said disease. We called it The Sickest Roast. We had a producer, a venue and the charity on board, you could say we were off to the races.  

But we all know what happened next. Suddenly, talking about sickness was a cancellable offence and an in-person event? Good luck. Well, thankfully, our little dream came to life 6 years later. With the Sunnybrook Foundation on board, help from some real comedy producer vets and the Comedy Bar Danforth as our venue, we hosted the first Sickest Roast event, a conceptual comedy show and brand that raised over $3,400 by roasting cancer’s ass.
